Paula Rousselle has 36 years of experience in civil trial practice, handling litigation and arbitrations. She received her B.S. (1976), and her J.D. (1979), from Stetson University. The primary area of her practice involves the defense of medical malpractice cases, including the defense of both physicians and hospitals in litigation, arbitration, and Department of Health investigations. She also handles the defense of premises liability and product liability cases for major grocery store chains and for physician practice locations and a hospital. She has handled the defense of automobile, bad faith, PIP/UM, and general insurance litigation. She has participated in seminars and lectures for physicians, chiropractors, nurses, insurance adjusters, hospital administrators, and risk managers.
Paula joined the Bitman O’Brien & Morat, PLLC’s Tampa team in late 2018. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Rousselle is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Ms. Rousselle is “ÀV’ rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Paula has served on the Board of Directors of Chair Scholars, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of children with severe disabilities who for economic reasons would not be able to continue their education. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am Golf tournament, dedicated to raising money for four chosen charities in the Tampa Bay area. She is an avid golfer and is a member of Old Memorial Golf Club.
