Cynthia M. Whitman was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Tampa in 2010. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a Copy Editor for the Tampa Tribune. She received a scholarship to attend Western Michigan University, Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating Cum Laude in 2016. While in law school, Ms. Whitman received Book Awards in Legal Writing, Scholarly Writing and Pre-Trial Skills.
She served as Senior Articles Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law, and was an active member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society. Ms. Whitman represented Thomas M. Cooley Law School as a Governor of the Florida Bar Young Lawyer’s Division, Law Student Division, from 2015 to 2016.
Cynthia joined the Bitman O’Brien & Morat, PLLC Tampa team in late 2018. She is currently a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Hillsborough County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and The Florida Bar Young Lawyer’s Division. She is also admitted to practice in the Middle District of Florida.
